Brighton show was a banger, thanks! Now some fine whiskey sips before bed.

We’re on day three of our tour with Apologies, I Have None and Great Cynics and it’s going great. Sadly, yesterday was the last of our two dates we played with Austin Lucas. Here’s a picture of him finishing a great set with ‘Go West’. We got up played a couple songs with him before our own set which was awesome. Thank you Bristol, you always make us feel so welcome!

..So we took a little trip to St Michael de Rupe church in Brentor, near Tavistock, to survey the area for the video to our next single ‘Tribes’. We had fun pretending to be spiritual, but there’s no denying how beautiful the place and its surroundings are. Next time we’ll be back with 50 folks and a whole concept piece for the song. Watch this space.

After having our eardrums destroyed by an exploding lamp up at Presspack studios today. Darren and I did a nice little video interview about our new record for the Presspack sessions. We will post it up here when we get a copy.

Since we last posted, we have been up at the studio a cpl of times. More vocals, backing vocals, Vicky’s vocals and some fiddle have been recorded. The end is now in sight!

Today was spent with the awesome Patrick James Pearson laying down some piano, Rhodes and Hammond. Sounds huge!

The guitars have been rested up today while we finish off the bass and let Darren crack on with some more vocals. It all seems to be going pretty well so far, I think we’re all looking forward to hearing it back once everything’s in place and Pete’s worked his magic. For those of you who might not know, the Pete we refer to is the super-producer Peter Miles with who we’re currently recording.
